Heh, I don't think the idea's too far off in that respect! The Bad Batch was meant to have a Dirty Dozen feel, which I admit I was only vaguely familiar with and had to look up a summary- but Tech and his squad are a group of experimental soldiers that were usually sent in to do the more risky missions and left to their own devices as to the how's.
It issss. Her early work on the original B10 manga is what got her the Sengoku Basara job, and they even share an artbook together at some point!
What a great concept. I'm always for a team of disasters attempting to good things in sometimes the worst ways. B10 has a similar-ish theme of mismatched ninja all working for the same person to save the world. It's really not the best manga in the world, but if you like the sengoku era, KS's art, and the rag-tag team plot, it might be up your alley!
There's also a very short anime but uh... I wouldn't recommend it.
The manga is basically impossible to track down in-store, but if you want the goods I've got the links. I have yet to enable a single person into this series so it would be my HONOUR.
It was pretty obscure at the time of release many moons ago, and they never licensed/published the entire other half of the series in English.
Also, the 'official' English digital versions of the first half are some of the worst ever made in terms of quality/readability... so unless you can read Japanese, you probably won't have much luck buying official copies RIP.
