Hey, there's a lot of potential fun to be had with two awkward teenagers being super awkward at each other. I'm game to throw them at each other and see what happens!
His thread with Eight ended up being Super Good and surprisingly emotional for two child soldier types. Though Eight's a little further along in the 'becoming less of a living weapon' type than Heero is. It's part of his arc for here. Learning how to people and be More Than War.
Will be fun to see what happens! I'm... a Bad Fan in that I haven't played BOTW, but I am a long time fan. Is BOTW Link someone who might enjoy say... long periods of silence not talking and just existing near each other doing their own thing? lol
Oh, was Eight you? I really enjoyed that thread! I must confess I had been hoping she would join the game, hah
And yes, Link would totally be the type to happy just sit around saying nothing at all for long periods of time.
(Also don't worry about being a Bad Fan - I have actually played relatively few Zelda games, mainly due to just...not having the consoles to play them on. Apart from BotW, I only ever played the game boy Zelda games)
Oh no! I was just saying that Heero's thread with Eight ended up super poignant and just... ugh. All the feels. I'm waiting very keenly for them to app. She's the first person I've been like "Yup, that's a tether. Right there. 100%" so I'm trying to wait patiently.
Might not be the most exciting threads, but they can be work in silence on other things together buddies and that's Fine. Heero could definitely use a few of those. Too many extroverts would burn him out super quick.
Link to the Past was a game of my... not really childhood, but tweenhood? I used to watch a step-dad play it all the time and just... tbh I think it's probably my favourite even if I usually tell people it's Ocarina. (I burnt out the laser on my Gamecube as a teen. Partially Ocarina's fault) I've played some Majora's Mask, but never beat it. Ditto Twilight Princess. I beat Skyward Sword either early this year or late last year. Link's very much a 'idk if this is one of my fictional crushes or if this is just gender envy' type characters. lol
That said. I love the Oracle games! I wish they'd release them on Switch. Or just.. more of them on Switch. All the Zelda games pls Nintendo.
I guess we'll just both have to hope that Eight apps then!
They might do best in things like actiony-type threads, where there's a Task for them to work on. But no reason we can't handwave 'lots of sitting in silence' happening at other time.
I loved the Oracle games! They were definitely a big part of my childhood - I hope they get remade one day too. And I would like to play Skyward Sword sometime - I just haven't yet had the budget for it. (Also I am...generally very late to video games. Very, very late.)
Some mission stuff. or stuff related to skills or the like. There's a lot to learn here. I'm down with handwaving that type of thing. I'm not usually a fand of handwaving too much, but in that case it kinda makes sense.
To be fair, Skyward Sword was a wii game and I got it after the switch port... and I traded in a game to get it. So I kinda feel you there.
Those and Link's awakening, which I bought at a garage sale and then played relentlessly. I've debated trying the remake, but I'm concerned about Muh Nostalgia.
I'm definitely keen to do mission stuff, so there should be options there.
How is the switch port? Motion control stuff is something I have very little experience with, nevermind how well it works well translated to the switch.
I have enjoyed the remake of Link's Awakening, but I also can't remember the original that well, so I couldn't tell you how well it does as an update.
Plays just fine! Though I did find certain fight types a little awkward. But they're not that frequent and usually pretty easy when they are. Until they aren't. But it kinda fits with a ramping difficulty there.
Especially as an unemployed disabled person. Money is... well, let's be real what little money I have often gets spent in ways that probably aren't as smart as they could be because the adhd gets trigger happy. Whoops~

I have a switch light so I couldn't tell you, because for my switch there is none. XD
The art style is very different. Maybe one day, but I'm broke and... there are a lot of other more pressing games I'd get before that one.

And that's totally fair - there's lots out there to play, after all. And alas, none of us have endless time and money...
