Plotting Meme #1

How It Works
Welcome to the first plotting post for Mission #1 of Annexed!
How Mission Logs Work: There will generally be two main missions per month, with different focuses tailored to different skillsets (usually stealth vs. fighting, though other skillsets will be tapped on). Each mission will be posted in phases, with a prompt for the start of each phase. The plotting post will give you a rundown of what the missions are, how they might go, and what might be discovered. Characters may partake in whichever pat of the operation they choose, whether it's a large prominent part or a more supporting role. Characters may participate in both missions, and as many phases as they wish.
Mod Guidance: Players may request occasional scene-setting when they hit a point where they're unsure what might happen next in a log or what their characters might encounter. There will be a "Mod Guidance" comment that players can reply to in order to request this kind of scene-setting.
Completion of Missions: There will be a submissions comment for anyone who's threaded out a portion of the mission. Once a thread has been completed at least halfway, please submit your character's progress and plans for the thread to the submissions thread. These submissions are the main way that the mod will decide how the mission went in the next month's wrap-up post, so they are very important!
After The Mission: There will be a wrap-up post toward the end of the month after the mission is posted to explain how it went. There will also be a prompt or two at the end of the mission post for characters to get patched up, relax, and simply interact and enjoy each others' company.
Mission Log: Here!
The Cure For Immunity
The Witches have received intel through their spies in Zephyr that a lab located just outside the outskirts of the city is engaged in experiments on sentient beings to create a serum that will change those people who are incompatible with Sylphid reproduction. This serum would allow the Sylphid to take over the bodies of people who would usually be fatal to them.
The serum is said to function at a 45% success rate already.
Obviously this would be a major blow to all life on the Broken World, as 70% of the population is immune to being taken over by Sylphid. This serum would allow them to increase their population numbers exponentially and turn a powerful takeover into a nigh-unstoppable one.
The Witch will be calling a general meeting at the Command Center where she will explain the situation and the proposed missions to stop it.
Mission A: Into the Lab
Mission Appropriateness: Chipped or Stripped
Mission Focus: Stealth and recon.
This mission will focus on stealth and recon, with operatives conducting surveillance on the lab to work out the rounds of the guards and other staff so they can infiltrate and take the information on the Sylphid serum in order to reverse engineer it and hopefully make a serum to make everyone immune to Sylphid takeover. The Witch passionately states in her opening speech that this would be an immense blow against the Sylphid and is a very important mission.
Phase I - Surveillance: Characters will be surveilling the lab to find out the rounds that guards take and the staff turnover via monitoring the exits and entrances to the lab.
Phase II - Infiltration: Using the information gleaned through surveillance, characters will infiltrate the lab and quietly subdue anyone who spots them. They will map out the facility as quickly as possible and make their way to the central computer system.
Phase III - Intel & Sabotage: The characters will, once they've infiltrated and mapped the lab, make their way to the central computer banks and take a copy of all the information that has been gathered to make the serum. They will then sabotage the computer as stealthily as possible and make their way out of the lab.
Mission B: Disrupt The Supply Chain
Mission Appropriateness: Chipped or Stripped
Mission Focus: Recon and open battle.
This mission will focus on open battle and guerilla tactics, with operatives locating and disrupting the supply chain to the lab. It will focus on identifying shipments of equipment, food, and other supplies to the lab and interrupting them, destroying the vehicles, subduing the enemy, and taking whatever supplies they can back to the Witches Camp.
Phase I - Identification: Characters will surveil the roads leading to the lab and identify which vehicles bring supplies there. They will make lists of the companies doing the supplying to be later investigated and gather enough information on these shipments to ensure that they won't intercept civilian deliveries.
Phase II - Interception: Characters will set themselves up at a portion of the highway leading past the lab that weaves through the jungle in a serpentine fashion. They will create traps and use guerilla tactics to stop any vehicles that are carrying supplies for the lab and subdue the Sylphid drivers and staff on the vehicles.
Phase III - Destruction & Appropriation: Characters will sabotage or destroy the vehicles that the Sylphid were driving to the lab and take any supplies via hover-ATV back to the Witches Camp to be resold or used for the cause.
The Plotting Form
Mikumo Guynemer | Macross Delta | Heba
Chipped or Stripped? Chipped, as she wants to be able to take advantage of the infiltration potential.
Heba or Tian? Heba
Useful Skills & Abilities: Mikumo is quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat, can handle a gun, is experienced in driving through rough terrain, and has extensive espionage/surveillance/"behind enemy lines" type experience as she and her team are often sent in ahead of or with the early stages of the actual combat forces in her canon. She's also from a scifi canon, so experienced with more advanced tech which will probably help with accessing the lab computers. Her Heba ability is making constructs from water (limited to existing water sources), but she hasn't tapped into that just yet.
Missions: Both
Phases: All, though probably focusing on Mission A and the later sections of Mission B.
General Plans: Mikumo is going to appreciate having something important to do here, so she's very much going to be trying to take point on this since it's the type of work she's done quite often back home. It does also mean she's going to be moving around people a bit, trying to gauge who's best at this type of work and who might need a kick in the pants to improve at it or whatever else. She's also going to be using this to gauge how the Witches themselves operate things from start to finish on a mission, so anyone who wants to talk shop about that is welcome.
As mentioned, as far as TLing goes I'll probably be focusing on Mission A and the latter half of Mission B, so she's available for anyone who's good on infiltration but might need assistance with the computer handling, or someone good at the intercept part but less good at driving rough terrain, or whatever else. If you specifically want to do something with another part of the mission that I don't TL for, either let me know here or I'll have a wildcard option also.
