Player plot! Stealing Back Your Stuff
Hey everyone! I've gotten the okay to run a small player-run plot, where the characters can sneak into or attack some Sylphid locations in order to find some of their stolen inventory items. Details below!
Background:
Essentially, Link's going to be making an active effort to break into some Sylphid-controlled spaces in search of his and other people's stuff. Thanks to an earlier mini-mission and the Winter Gifts from the recent holiday, he knows that stuff is available to be found. At the party he spoke to the rebels who were involved in the gifts, and from them he's gotten details about potential locations.
Getting involved / IC organisation:
Alas, since Link is the person kicking this off, planning & teamwork for this will be nonexistent - unless other characters bring that to the table. Link is going to make a network post offering to look for other people's stuff, but since teamwork is very much Not His Strong Suit my hope that other characters will intervene / invite themselves along (lest Link end up running off and trying to do all this himself, which would probably not end well)
Potential rewards:
Up to three inventory items!
Format:
This will depend a bit on who signs up and what people are looking for - I could put up a log post to keep everything in one place, or we could treat it like the mini-missions where people can include prompts in their own logs (or a mix of both).
Timeframe:
Again, pretty flexible - again, using the mini-missions as a guide I'm picturing this as a number of different missions over time. They could all happen relatively quickly, or there could be weeks or more inbetween.
Locations:
From the mod, I've gotten the following info about potential locations:
If you're interested in this, please comment below! I've got a little form to make things easy if you like

Locations:
From the mod, I've gotten the following info about potential locations:
There are several locations inside the city, for Chipped characters to try out if they like. There are four major depots, one in each quadrant of the city - North, South, East, and West.
For the Stripped characters, there are places holding new arrivals that also have some inventory items in them that are backlogged, to be tagged and identified before being shipped to the depots in the city. They are dotted around the outskirts of the city, usually in the jungle and away from residential areas. They are similar to a couple of the installations that have popped up in various missions - hidden in the jungle, with security guards and methods of getting inside. Feel free to make up some of these installations if you'd like, using mission posts as a guide. I'd be glad to see them.
There are also some depots for inventory items that are en route to the city proper. They can be found at various post offices in the residential areas on the outskirts of the city, specifically at the larger residential area to Southwest side of the city. They could also find items that are en route to the city by taking down individual trucks that are leaving the spots they keep new arrivals, which could be easily found out from people around town or at the party.

Questions
Re: Questions
Re: Questions
But certainly characters can still join in, even if they don't have anything of their own to look for
Re: Questions
Re: Questions
Also just heard back from the mod - you are good to collect items for other characters!

Chipped or Stripped: Stripped
Format preference: Either!
Item(s) to retrieve: Tentatively (as I fully admit this may change later) he'll get his Lightscale Trident, one of his armour sets, and a pile of 167 Keese wings
Plans: Link would search EVERYWHERE, but he is Stripped and therefore really should do the ones in the city.
He might risk it anyone though, if no one else does. He will definitely be hitting up the jungle depots, post offices, and also some of the trucks en route. He'll also bring a lot of knowledge and ability in exploring the area, as well as combats skills and generally a lot of motivation to Find His Stuff. He will also diligently look for other people's things though, not just his own.

Chipped or Stripped: Chipped
Format preference: I have typed and retyped and changed my answer enough times to think that I've got no strong preference, maybe a slight one for individually organized threads?
Item(s) to retrieve: 3 of Hearts, 5 of Hearts, Jack of Hearts
Plans: He's not going to be too fussy about where to search and although stealth isn't his strong suit, he has been practicing his magic and has a couple of tricks he can bring to bear here. (He is secretly hoping he gets to fight something. Surely a good melee makes everything better.)

don't worry hajime there are indeed things to fightno subject
Chipped or Stripped: Chipped and Stripped, respectively
Format preference: I'm flexible!
Item(s) to retrieve: I don't mind having Tech come across someone else's things if anyone might want him to help get something in particular. Otherwise Tech's not in any big hurry to get his equipment but he wouldn't mind getting back his chestplate and his two blaster pistols. Donnie wants his battleshell. Since he has little enough equipment I'll leave it at that for now. So again, if anyone might be looking for something specific he'll have two slots open!
Plans: I'm not gonna nail anything down here. I'm game for teamups, danger, close-calls and whatnot. Tech can help get around security and things as well as provide more than adequate backup. Donnie's good for stealth and not bad at all when it comes to melee. ...I am bad at plans just pretend my guys aren't.

Chipped or Stripped: Chipped
Format preference: Slight preference for catch-all for ease of organization.
Item(s) to retrieve: Layla is not a gear-heavy character, and between an early mission and the winter gift, she's already gotten back everything with enough personal value for her to specifically look for. She's happy to retrieve other people's stuff for them; she'd be inclined to prioritize weapons and technology for reasons of not having them in enemy hands, but she's hardly going to say no to retrieving someone's late mother's locket or other sentimental treasures.
Plans: Layla will probably focus on either the city depots or on the holding facilities, depending on how the balance shakes out. She's chipped, so she can navigate the city without standing out, and is pretty good at stealth and infiltration. She's not bad in a fight, either, though she'd be trying to avoid one as much as possible.

Chipped or Stripped: Chipped
Format preference: I can work with either, but I think one main post with toplevels would be easier to keep track of.
Item(s) to retrieve: A casual outfit, some assorted jewelry, a purse - so nothing of particularly strong sentimental value. She will happily go looking for other people's stuff, though! For a price of course, but, you know, helping!!
Plans: Any!! Codi can hit the depots directly since she's Chipped, but she's becoming a pretty competent and powerful support mage, so this could be a fun opportunity to have her accompany some Stripped characters as backup/an emergency healer as well.

Link will be grateful to Codi for taking over organisation so he does not have tono subject
Chipped or Stripped: Stripped
Format preference: I'd prefer a main post to organize all players tags
Item(s) to retrieve: Tinkerdrift Gunblade & Stone of Phantasm
Plans: Jack will definitely go all the way to the jungle. Well, in the gift giving relief log, Jack already retrieved his shield so he has access to slow debuff, teleportation and self healing. Moreover, Jack's an agile fighter and a sharpshooter.

onni hotakainen ❄ stand still stay silent
Chipped or Stripped: Chipped
Format preference: A catch-all would be nice!
Item(s) to retrieve: his kantele, his fur robe, his bow and arrows
Plans: Honestly he'd go wherever to look, and would keep going to various locations until he found something! So, basically just super open to plot.
