Player Plot Interest Check - OPEN TO EVERYONE
Hello!
This was supposed to have gone into motion back in October, but real life happened. So I hope you will lend me an ear, so to speak, as I come seeking an interest check for a player plot for the month of November.
Background!
Back during the mini-missions of September, Obi-Wan was captured by the Sylphid. In typical Obi-Wan style, while undergoing interrogation, he interrogated in return and learned something of value.
The Sylphid can bring in reinforcements via ship to the planet
This has gotten Obi-Wan thinking, and if there is enough interest in this plot, he will kick things off by making a network announcement about what he learned and his thoughts. This boils down to basically:
How do Sylphid get from the ships in orbit, to the planet? Spoiler: It is a combination of Star Trek like transporter platforms, and small shuttle craft.
Could we (Rebels) sabotage/take control of/somehow incapacitate these methods so that the Sylphid can't easily replenish their numbers.
Those are just his thoughts. Both he (and I) would be open to other ideas and I am happy to take those ideas back to our modly one, who has been amazingly supportive as I've talked with them about my initial thoughts!
The Action
If there are enough volunteers, the action would be in two parts.
Part I: Will need Chipped characters, because it will involve sneaking into the city. Once in the city, there will further more be need for stealth, because getting into these areas is going to be tricky because they are heavily guarded. That said, IF anyone wants to have their 'Stripped' character try their luck, but get caught all the same, our dear mod has offered to provide feedback of what might happen to a detained characters.
Part II: Incapacitating the transport methods. How the transport methods are incapacitated is still open to IC discussion among the characters! This part of things will have opportunities for both Stripped and Chipped characters.
The Risks
As mentioned in Part I, our modly one has offered to provide information on what might happened to any characters who are caught/detailed during any part of this mission.
An added wrinkle is I have asked and been given the go ahead to offer up the chance for players to provide ideas for antagonists that are tailor made to be more along the lines of the antagonists characters might find in their canon.
For example: since the Sylphid can take over any species, any host body, it seems possible that there may be a Sylphid running around in the body/with the powers of a Sith Lord. While this particular Sith Lord couldn't be Palpatine, or Maul, or Dooku as these are appable characters, they could have the powers of a Palpatine.
This would be the case for every character/player in the game. Do you want to see a Sylphid in the body of a Godzilla? Propose it. Want to bring in the Borg? Let's put it on the table.
Bonus: You are not restricted to offering up ideas only from your canon. Feel free to suggestions from other canons! The only rule is we need to keep it generic enough so that if -down the line- someone wants to app Darth Maul there's no case of "Oh hey, didn't we kill your Sylphid possessed butt two months ago?"
Our modly one will be reviewing and the final approver on our inputs, but only because this is an opportunity for us, as players, to do some world/lore building and Our Mod wants to be sure that it is properly incorporated into the game going forward.
I would also like to offer, and this is completely OPT-IN ONLY a roll of the dice. How it would work (which I am open to feedback about/suggestions since right now this makes sense in my head but may need to be twaeked as we roll along) would be along these lines.
Want to make the number of opponents your character(s) encounter a random number? Let me know and I will roll dice.
Want to randomize your character(s) chance of success in any particular stage of the mission? Let me know and I will roll dice.
The Opt-In does not have to be all or nothing. It can be for any stage of the mission, all the way up to whether or not your character(s) are successful or get caught.
IF RANDOM CHANCE IS NOT YOUR THING! No worries, the missions/mission outcomes remain completely in your hands.
If there is enough interest, than my time table would be to have the network post up in the next 48 hours, with the actual mission logs going live no latter than this upcoming Sunday the 13th.

Questions?
Let's build an army of antagonists!
Let me know if this works!
Character in Game: Commander Shepard
Proposed Foe: Kett Ascendant
Canon Proposed Foe is from: Mass Effect: Andromeda (same universe as the trilogy, but different galaxy with tons of lore that Shepard has never experienced).
Is there a Wiki Link? https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Ascendant
Key powers/abilities of proposed foe: Targeted electrical shock and an electricity 'bomb' of sorts that impacts anyone within 2-3 metres (give or take). Such control over electromagnetic force is biological.
From the wiki:
The Ascendant's conventional attack is a targeted electric shock. Alternatively, they can unleash a ball-lightning-like attack which conducts electricity to nearby enemies. This heavily-damaging attack ignores cover and can stagger characters out of it..
Other?
The thing that makes me unsure on whether or not this antagonist would work is the shield generator, which comes from kett technology. I'll provide an example vid that shows interaction with the shield generator.
7:42 (beating up the orb/shield generator) to 8:00 where the Ascendant is vulnerable (which lasts about 5 seconds before the orb is up and running again):
https://youtu.be/Yg9sb9YEP8o?t=462
Also, note: the Ascendant's ability to levitate comes from element zero cores throughout its armor. This can be altered or taken out entirely since (iirc) it's just an aesthetic to make the mini boss stand out from its minions.

Character in Game: Obi-Wan Kenobi
Proposed Foe: Sith Lords / Dark Side Masters
Canon Proposed Foe is from: Star Wars
Is there a Wiki Link? Sidious's profile has a good list of powers
Key powers/abilities of proposed foe:
Force user: This encompasses Force Push, Force Choke, Telekinesis, etc which are very powerful in the hands of a Dark Side User.
Force Lighting
Light Saber Combat
Force Magic
Foresee the Future - For this situation, maybe they are able to see short periods in the future, so can anticipate our protagonists attempts at sabotage, or escape?
Re: Let's build an army of antagonists!
Character in Game: Elma
Proposed Foe: Tyrants
Canon Proposed Foe is from: Xenoblade Chronicles X
Is there a Wiki Link? As it happens...
Key powers/abilities of proposed foe: ...yeah, there's a lot, since this is more of a category to pick from!
Other? Tyrants are creatures far stronger than others of their kind -- which can be saying a lot considering how strong some of these creatures are. There's a huge range of possibilities from "dangerous but low level" to "canonically eats entire planets and destroys entire solar systems".

...also Tech has reasons to want to sneak into the city as well. Yaaay research!

Also I am totally up for some dice rolling

At a glance, he's still chipped so could absolutely help with the first part of the mission. As to how successfully it goes, I'll leave up to the dice. He's not very stealthy but he can try to be!
